Located around 80 km away southern of downtown Sampit, it is considered as one of the popular beaches in Sampit City. Its location, which is quite far from the city crowd, makes it perfect for you who are looking for a spot for good relaxation.
This beach has soft and white sands. There are some big woods around which are carried by waves ashore. The local people here are fishermen so that it is common to see them fishing using boats. As you arrive here, you will smell the salty fish aroma because they make salty fishes.

Sebangau National Park is a tropical paradise and the last of Borneo’s peat swamp forests. This national park covers the area of 568,700 hectares and is home to over 6,000 orangutans, forming one of the world’s largest populations in the wild.

From the top of the hill called Bukit Batu or Rock Hill, you can overlook the Sebangau National Park along with all its fascinating scenery. Tahai Lake is a picturesque lake located in Tahai Village or Bukit Batu district. It is around 30 kilometers to Palangkaraya. You will need to go across a long wooden bridge connecting the main road to the forest area.
Beneath the bridge, you will be able to enjoy the view of the unique reddish lake water along with the forest, bright blue sky, and the floating wooden house called Lanting. The red color of the water comes from the combination of the peatland’s tree roots and groundwater.

The beach has white-brownish sand and becomes one of the favorite destinations in Pangkalan Bun. If you wish to go into seclusion from city crowd and noise, then Kubu Beach is perfect for you. The water on this beach is brownish due to the peat forest near the beach.
