Like we always do, we’re gonna tell you about some of the interesting attractions in several locations, this time we’re gonna go to the East Java Area, which is already famous as the most green and rich of natural spots over all other regions in Java island.
Maybe some of you already know about some attractions in this regions like things to do in Jember, things to do in Mojokerto, or maybe things to do in Tuban, but in here we want to summarize all of them into the list of things to do in East Java, filled with all the interesting and famous venues in this special region. Now let see at the first one on the list, in the things to do in East Java :
1. Jatim Park
Jatim stands for Jawa Timur or East Java. So this is the park of East Java. The Jatimpark is located in Batu city, for you who don’t know. Located on the high ground make it more cold and freeing in the morning. But the view around is really beautiful, especially when the sun start to rise or set. Plus, you can find so many attractions near Jatim Park area.
The Jatimpark still becomes the high anticipated attractions of all people in East Java, especially the towns around, because the place is improving from time to time. They add some new rides every year, more fun to be had. You can choose so many things that you want to do here like studying the culture and history of Indonesia,looking at the ancient medals, studying about natural stuff, and many more!
So, if you really curious of it, you can come by Batu city, it’s not too far from the central plaza. Enjoy the Disneyland of East Java!

2. Jatim Park 2
After Jatim Park 1, they develop the next or the successor which named Jatim Park 2 located not far from there. If Jatim Park 1 is focusing on the exciting rides for teenagers, in this Jatim Park 2, the focus is for family togetherness. Even though you can’t find so many exciting rides like back in the Jatim Park 1, but there are so many things to discover.
First, you can take a look at the Batu Secret Zoo, gaining much informations about animals and stuff, then there are other places like the unique buildings and restaurant. So, even though you can’t have fun with all the rides like in JP1, but you can still have this good and quality time with you family. Isn’t that actually better?

3. Ranu Kumbolo
The next one is Ranu Kumbolo, the famous lake located in Lumajang, in the Tengger mount area to be exact. This one actually the best looking lake of all East Java area, maybe all the Java island. Many travelers around the world have came to this place just to prove the actual beauty of the lake. And they weren’t disappointed.
So, the lake is a favorite place of the hikers and travelers around the country to camp. They want to enjoy the beauty of the lake all the time. On the day, the rainy day, the evening, the lake has the unique view for each time. You won’t be disappointed with this spot, because it’s really magical to take a look at.

4. Tiban Mosque
If you looking for a unique spot, maybe Tiban Mosque is one of the answers. Located around the village in Turen, Malang, this mosque is hidden beneath the quiet villages. With a little effort, you can reach this majestic mosque with ease. Now, do you know that this mosque is actually an Islamic school? Yep, this place is actually a combination of school, a family attraction, souvenirs market, and also zoo for some reasons.
It’s true though, you can find them beneath the location but first of all, let’s take a look at the exterior. They applied this bluish and white tile-like walls all around the place. With around 50m high, it looks so gracious in the distance. Then upon entering you’ll be greeted with interesting things like aquarium, the beautiful stones, etc. It’s a really good place.

5. Purwodadi Conservation
One of the best place in things to do in Pasuruan is the Purwodadi Conservation. Like already described it in another article, this spot is like a very affordable and very good attraction you can get in Pasuruan. Located on the left side of the road leading to Malang city, you can hardly missing it. Just by a few thousand rupiahs, you can enjoy the Purwodadi park fully.
Beside the gigantic forest it has, the Purwodadi Conservation also has some interesting places like the flower park, the cactus park, the exotic bridges, the tiny lake, the gift shop, and other else. Now with paying the ticket at the staff in front of the gate, you can finally enter the place and having fun!

6. Surabaya Carnival
Located in one the of busiest area of Surabaya, Surabaya Carnival became a highlight of Surabaya’s attractions. With tons of fun stuff to do here, you’ll never get bored while having your time inside the place. Like the name said, this place is actually a circus and carnival spot that you can enjoy with your friends and family. Because of it’s a carnival, it opens at the night time, the more dark the more beautiful it is.
So, in here there are several rides you can do, like roller coaster, merry go around, and many more. The spot is actually filled with many students from universities and high schools around Surabaya. So, beside the high quality place for family, the place is also the best for hanging out with friends or enjoying a good time with your love one. So, enjoy the night!

7. Bromo Mountain
Who doesn’t know the mountain we’ve already talked about in things to do in Mount Bromo. It’s the most famous one is East Java though. Many people around the corners came to this place just to try and satisfy their curiosity about the place they have looked at social medias. The place has this desert and the most exotic view you’ll ever see in East Java.
Plus, the entrance ticket include some attractions in it, so you don’t have to pay more to go to the next spot in the area. With one ticket, you can anywhere you want. So, you can enjoy all the beautiful things in Mount Bromo with simple and yet fun package in one go.

8. Papuma Beach
In Jember city, we have this Papuma beach to show to you. This beach is not like any other beaches out there. The Papuma beach has this very unique texture of rocky beach on it. So you may as well use them as a teraphy or something. You may as well be careful stepping on those rocks, because someday you can be slipped out.
In not a very far distance you can see the gigantic rock that very suitable for picture. Many people capturing those moments when the sun has set the horizon. It’s indeed a very beautiful one though you may aswell try it some other times.

9. Ijen Crater, Bondowoso
In Bondowoso, there’s one exotic place you need to go to called Ijen crater. The Ijen crater is actually famous throughout the entire world. Many photographers came t the spot to captured the moments when the blue lavas finally come around.
For you who don’t know, the blue lava in Indonesia is the only one in the world, the most exotic and exclusive one. So, if you really curious about it, then you can pay Bondowoso a visit in this year and looking at the blue lava for yourself.

10. Red Island Beach, Banyuwangi
The east most point of East Java, there’s Banyuwangi with its spectacular spot called Pulau Merah or Red Island beach in the list of things to do in East Java. The beach is a heavenly place for relax, especially in the evening, while watching the sunset.
The view here is a great price. They already preserved us with some facilities like resting benches for example. Those resting benches is really helpful for us who want to take a bit rest so badly. Resting while watching the spectacular view of the sunset is the best thing.

Other Attractions in East Java
There are many places left waited to be explored. The other 5 places you should go to are :
- Madangkaripura Waterfall, a really beautiful waterfall in Probolinggo
