So, back in here, the one and only top holiday spot list for those who need it. We will tell you about the list of top 20 things to do in Pasuruan, East Java. Yep, its 20 list again, only for you. Now now, Indonesia isn’t always about Bali, about Jakarta, or about Yogyakarta. It’s about time to explore more, time to spend your holiday not for doing some stuff in pretty well known place. How about some little exploration to the east side of Javanese Island, The East Java Province.

No, we’re not taking you near Bali again, its enough to exploring Bali. You know, there are many places in the province, ready to be blown away. And that’s a good thing though to start exploring in East Java. First, the environment is not touched by many people (or maybe still a virgin one). Okay, in the East Java, you maybe already know about some places like Malang or Surabaya City. But, like said above, we want to start a new journey, right? That’s why we take you to place you maybe didn’t know yet, an area not far from Malang city, called Pasuruan. To be honest, the area seems crowded, not by people but by some trucks that come by to deliver goods. Because, the Pasuruan itself is actually an industrial city. But don’t you worry, it still has its speciality in maintaining its attractions. Lets start with its beaches first:

1. Lekok Beach

This is the first beach that you must take a look at least once in here. Yep, the people of Pasuruan are doing a great job to maintaining it, to be the most beautiful beach that exist in this city. Now, even though its pretty good to see it when the sun comes down, but actually its not the speciality of this beach.

The specialty is the togetherness of the people, doing the traditional sport called Lot Ski. Yep, its a ski, but not on the sea water, its going on the pretty muddy dirt. Many people doing it, and loving to. Trust me, even tourist are curious enough to try it, because it seems really fun! Forget about personal experience with ski or any water sports, all you need to do is having fun. Who doesn’t love to having fun?

2. Penunggul Beach

Hey, if you really miss the beaches in Bali, you don’t have to. Because in Pasuruan, you can found one that has the same view and the same feeling as the beach in Bali. You can see the white sand spreading across the beach, and blue crystal clear sea.

Plus, you can take a walk for a moment to visit the mangrove forest around it. You can explore it a bit, or continuing your activities in the beach, whatever it is. Now, the government is still improve it to be the greatest beach, and the development still reach the level of 80%, which is good. Even though its still 80% of its true beauty, but the place is still unforgettable.

3. Banyu Biru Spring

For you who want to relax a bit by swimming and enjoying the green environment, this is a perfect start. In here you can found many trees, including the big one near the spring. Its a bit creepy though. That’s why you should come here either by morning or afternoon, even though its a bit hot, but the tree will protect you.

In this spot, there’s a  special pond containing Sengkaring fishes. But don’t even thing about funny stuff to swim there, the fishes are sacred. So, if you do swim there, be ready take the judgment by the people. But anyway, the spring itself is already been a pleasure for any tiring tourist.

4. Jawi Temple

Its a good to learn a bit about history by looking at some stuff from ancient times, like this temple for example. Now, the word Jawi means Java in javanese language. Most people in Java probably now this already. This is one of the greatest gift from ancestors. Why? Because this temple built by one of the greatest kingdom in Java, Singasari kingdom in about 1300.

The more convincing evidence is the stupa, in the top of the Temple. Resembling the acculturation between Hinduism and Buddhism in that time (Singasari adopt the Hinduism). Amazingly, its still look beautiful till now. Waiting the people who seek it.

5. Mount Gangsir Temple

Mountain is big. Yes, it’s big. So does this temple who has mountain-like shape in overall ways. In the night maybe you see it as a big black hill in the middle of the forest, but its different when sun comes up to see hello to the world. You can see the big orange temple made of combination of stones and dirts, rising up to 7 – 9 meters.

When you first see it, you maybe will say “Whaaatt?”, because of its size. For a single temple, its considered very big. That’s why we call it the Mountain Temple. On the down side, there’s a hole like door. The people assume that a person dug in the ancient times. So that’s why the people call it the Gangsir temple, Gangsir means dig. You ready to gangsir this place out?

6. Ranu Grati Lake

I don’t know why, but all the lakes in Indonesia seem beautiful in their own way. Just like this lake in Pasuruan, that has a name of Ranu Grati. As you can see far out in the horizon, there are maybe just 2 or 3 houses filling the area in the corner of the lake.

But the thing is, the combination between the houses and the sun itself making this lake different from other lakes. Different in the gracious way. Its very beautiful, really really beautiful. Maybe it looks a bit “meh”, if you look it in the internet. But when you finally decide to come down to the lake, your assumptions maybe change. It looks perfect for couple, for family, and for everyone else. Even you.

7. Tretes

Tretes is like a hilly area. The temperature is cold, because its located in the mountains area. As you can imagine, the place like this is usually being a location for villas. Villas with the green environment. You can choose any villa in here, the price is always ranging.

You can choose the highest, or the best looking, or maybe the most affordable villa to enjoy during your holiday with your family and friends. So, if you looking for a place to release your tiring body, this place is the start. Thus, this is one of many best things to do in Pasuruan, East Java.

8. Prigen Safari Park

Oh, this one is great. Located on the left side of the road between Malang and Surabaya. Having the icon of the elephant’s thrunk on the gate, its really hard to miss. Even though its located beside the industrial area (right about 50 meters), the condition of animals and the habitats is very well preserved.

Its brilliant how they keep this place up even though standing near the big risk of pollution and other bad stuff from factory. Nevertheless, you should come here by car. Duh, its a safari, guys.

9. Purwodadi Botanical Garden

Not far from Safari, there’s stand Purwodadi Botanical Garden, on the right of the road to Malang city. A place for picnic and looking at some green stuff like trees and different kinds of cactus. The only minus is the parking lot for motorcycle, its a bit far away from the etrance gate that makes us walk for a minute just to reach the gate.

Then, nothing other bad things can be found in here. All is good, all is well. The environment look great, and so many things can be found in here, especially those gardens. The staff doing a wall job to maintaining it. Still, its a good place to go to relax.

10. Finna Golf and Club Resort

Like the place said, this place is for golf sport and relaxing resort. You can do both of those here. After swinging some stick, and striking those balls to the hole, you can relax and watching the green hills (while thinking your scores).

You can do some club activities here, maybe just hanging around with friends or doing golf together and bonding, or maybe team building. The place is really great for family, or vacationing businessmen. Yes, they come here to release their stress sometimes, those money sometimes make us dizzy though. Even though the membership price is pretty high, but its still affordable by some people. Maybe its you.

11. Condido Argo Herbal

What’s more things to do in Pasuruan, East Java? Hmm..you smell it? Yes, its a flower. Actually dozens of it. Yep, like the name implies, the place is filled with flowers starting from the common to rare ones. You can feel the fresh feels when visiting this spot.

No wonder many people like it. For you who like some flowers, you can buy some of them to take home. So many flowers you can get in here, its your chance!

12. Khrisna Apple Garden

After smelling and seeing some flowers, better fill those tummy with something healthy like apple. Khrisna Apple Garden offers fresh apples ready to be picked and tasted. You can try one of them and just take walk around the garden.

But watch out, don’t do anything stupid or funny, CCTV everywhere. You can also pick some apples and bring them home if you want, but you’ll gained extra charge of it of course. Happy picking!

13. Gumandar Waterfall

After visiting those 12 places above, do you want to take a bath first? Yes, we can do it in here, Gumandar Waterfall. You can swim a little here, and take a bit look to those beautiful yellow flowers hanging around the waterfall. The scenery itself looks like a painting.

A beautiful natural painting created by Him. You can add some of those flowers to accompany your bathing session though, just don’t pick too much of them. It’s really goood!
