3. Visiting Alam Mayang Park

Forest Park Sultan Syarif Hasyim is a conservation forest covering an area of 6,172 hectares. The forest park is also a natural tourist attraction. Therefore many public facilities are available in the forest park, including offices, prayer room, stage arts, children playing area, gazebo, pavilion, jogging track, and camping ground.

Senapelan Mosque is the oldest mosque in Pekanbaru. It was built in 1762 by Sultan Abdul Jalil Alamuddin Syah to mark the movement of the capital of Kingdom Siak from Mempura Besar to Bukit Senapelan. The mosque was originally named Alam Mosque, then Nur Alam Mosque, and is now popular as Big Mosque Pekanbaru.

Aek Martua waterfall has uniquely three level of height so that sometimes it’s called a Thousand Stairs waterfall.
