8. Climbing Mount Krakatau
Mount Krakatau, which is located in the Sunda Strait, had erupted in 1883. Its terrible eruption caused some of the mountain to collapse and its ashes blocked the sunlight. 9. Visiting Way Kambas National Park
Way Kambas National Park is the oldest national park in Indonesia. The park was founded in 1937 by the Dutch colonial government. Way Kambas National Park has an area of 1,300 square kilometers and is home to about 200 Sumatran elephants.

Here visitors can see various elephant attractions or go around the park by riding an elephant. Every weekend a special football match for elephant is held. Pugung Raharjo Archaeological Park was founded in 1984. The park has relics from the megalithic era, Hindu-Buddhist era, until the Islamic Kingdom era. Some of the artifacts are ceramics, beads, menhirs, knives, spear eyes, pitted rocks, grinding stones, stone axes, and bronze bracelets.

There is also a mound of dirt that allegedly was a fortress, a group of large stones arranged in a rectangular shape with directions to the east and west, and a terraced hill that resemble a three-level pyramid. Pugung Rahardjo Archaeological Park is really wide that it takes about 1 hour to surround it.

12. Visiting Siger Tower
Siger Tower is a landmark of Lampung Province and is alsoa zero kilometer point in the south of Sumatra. The tower was inaugurated on 30 April 2008 by the Governor of Lampung, Sjahroedin Z.P. The tower was designed by the son of Lampung, Ir. H. Anshori Djausal, and is situated at an altitude of 110 meters above sea level.

The shape of the tower resembles a bride’s crown in Lampung tradition. People said you have not been to Lampung if you have not been to the Siger Tower. Siger Tower is located at Lintas Timur Street, Bakauheni, South Lampung Regency. No admission, it’s open 24 hours.

Gita Persada Butterfly Park has a collection of various living and preserved butterflies. The park was established in 1997 as a place of conservation, nature tourism and education. In the preservation room visitors can see hundreds of butterflies complete with the information.
